The owner grew up around the corner in Neethling Street (c/o Neethling and Keerom Street). At the end of her matric year at Bloemhof Girls High School (end of 1979) her mother bought this property. Tilla du Plessis lived here for 27 years, and currently resides in Hermanus.
What a treat it was to stay at this jewel of a guesthouse! I travel oftern and have stayed in many B&B's all over the country, 22 Die Laan Guest House, met ALL my expectations: excellent location, bright and spacious rooms, garden views, wonderful mattress, linen and towels, kitchenette with everything you might possibly need, good coffee, hospitality, etc, etc. Highly recommended!
For us we have now stayed at 22 Die Laan Guest House for our 3rd visit because its comfortable and offers all the charm and chiasma needed for a relaxing safe visit. Apples and the entire team really do go out there way to provide recommendations, assist with restaurant reservations

The management staff is first class! Knowledgeable and helpful - this is the best guest house to stay while in the Stellenbosch area.
What I realised the moment I entered the place, was that this is a guest house that puts the accent on guest... I've never ever stayed in a place where I have felt more welcome.
